We can also see a couple other units that we can only speculate on, notably some kind of slinger unit and a spearman who appears similar to the incan huaminca seen in the original game who I can only assume will be their version of the pikemen/halberdier.Īll of these units are trained in a single building called a stronghold, although they appear to have several other military buildings. They can also go invisible similar to Iroquois forest prowlers. This unit fires flaming copper arrows which burn a turquoise color. Jungle Archer - Looks to be inspired by the archers of the incan empire which were recruited from tribes in the easternmost jungle regions of their empires. Not much else known.Ĭhimu Runner - Looks to be the inca version of coyote runner knight, with a comparable cost (65 food, 35 wood, 1 pop space) and bonuses vs artillery and light infantry.

Maceman - Looks to be a heavy infantry, likely with area of effect attack and powerful siege attack. For those of you who dont know, these weapons were used by the inca to ensnare the legs of large animals like llamas, horses, and sometimes people. I could see that being really annoying/effective. They also slow down enemy units when they attack them. They deal area of effect damage and have a bonus vs cavalry, whereas before they had a damage penalty vs cavalry. These cost 80 food, 40 gold, and take up 2 pop space. We now know of most of their units:īolas Warrior - This is the most interesting unit, as it's very different from Bolas in the original game. So, from this video we got new information on incan units.
